San Diego Backyard Wedding — KATE VAN AMRINGE

Caroline + Justins day was one for the books. Tucked away in backyard of Carolines childhood home, this wedding was full of love, laughter, and fun and personal touches that made the whole day feel incredibly special.

EVERY DETAIL WAS PERFECT, But beyond the gorgeous setup, what stood out most was the feeling in the air. There was so much LOVE AND JOY - IT FELT LIKE A TRUE celebration of two people coming together in the most authentic way, surrounded by their favorite people.

BEYOND THE INENTIONALITY OF THE DAY THERE WERE TWO DETAILS THAT MADE THIS WEDDING ESPECIALLY FUN. One, WAS THE MAGICIAN AT COCKTAIL HOUR. IF YOU WANT GUESTS TO HAVE A GOOD TIME, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. AND TWO, WAS THE DANCE FLOOR ABOVE THEIR SWIMMING POOL - IT CREATED SUCH A MAGICAL FEEL, AND CREATED SOME EXCITEMENT LATER IN THE NIGHT WHEN IT ACTUALLY COLLAPSED! EVERYONE WAS FINE, THANK GOODNESS. WHEN I HEARD, it MADE ME THINK OF THE SCENE IN “ITS A WONDERFUL LIFE” WHEN THE SWIMMING POOL BELOW THE SCHOOL GYM IS EXPOSED UNBEKNOWNST TO THE STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN A DANCE COMPETITION. such a memorable moment!

This San Diego backyard wedding was the perfect reminder that when you focus on what really matters—love, intention, and connection—everything else falls beautifully into place.
